Rooms at the Bastide des Demoiselles

Our rooms are decorated in the theme of famous painters who were particularly inspired by Provence during their lifetime: Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Vincent Vangogh, Paul Cezanne, and Pablo Picasso. Their stories are told in books at your disposal. All the rooms have an independent entrance. Breakfast is served daily in the warm and friendly kitchen or on the terrace.

Some of Monet’s famous paintings, Woman with an Umbrella (1886), Monet’s Garden in Vetheuil (1879), and Sunflower Bouquet (1881), bring a touch of light and colour to the simple chic decor of this bedroom. The view overlooks the garden and the vineyards of the valley with a glimpse of the hills of Roussillon to the right.

Renoir’s presence in this room decorated in Louis XVI style is found in the famous painting Dance in the City (1883), painted in 1994 by Janine Bossut, Philippe’s mother. It portrays two dancers in a lounge. The dancers are the model and artist Suzanne Valadon and Renoir’s friend Paul Auguste Lhôte. The Renoir room overlooks the terrace and shared garden.
